JOB TITLE: CDL DRIVER
DUTIES: Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness; Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips; Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary; Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law; Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance; Paying tolls when driving to and from destinations; Keeping track of all reasonable expenses and submitting proof thereof to obtain refunds; Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times incl. ICC and DOT regulations; Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs; Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate using CB radio and cab computer. Multiple positions open. Driving within North Carolina and Interstate as needed for the delivery needs of the company.
REQUIREMENTS: One year of experience working in the position or as a truck driver with CDL License or equivalent from any state or country.
SALARY: $49,500 per year
